Oh, oh the things Kaisley does....

First thing...an explanation for the photo below. Last week Kaisley and I were out for our daily walk in the frigid air, and just as we were about to go back around to the other side of our house Kaisley books it to the parking lot...so I try my hardest to be quite while chasing her, because I don't know about you other mothers, but does it seem that when you began the chase they go faster and get a little more crazy with their footing? Anyways, the quiet thing didn't quite work the way I wanted because Kaisley started doing her crazy run and up in the air and then face plant on the ground, into the wet, dirty, muddy, freezing, asphalt! Me being the (wonderful) mother I am said a few choice words and then to make me look like even a better mother I picked her up and took one look at her and started to laugh. Yep, I know I am so insensitive but the look on her face was priceless so I had to take a photo...not sure if she really appreciated that, not only the laughing but a photo afterwords...come on mom! Just to let you know she was fine, just a few tiny scratches on her face.
Now this brings me to my title...Kaisley has been putting things in her ears lately? Should I be concerned...now I am just waiting for her to start putting things in other places like her nose...luckily I have caught her doing this every time and it hasn't been anything to small...until the nail, but even then I don't think it could have gotten too stuck. Is this normal?
and here is the nail in her ear! What is up with this?
Another thing is...Kaisley poops more than she pees!! Like 5 or 6 times a day!
She is seriously a pooing machine!

It is getting really really old...
I can't believe she hasn't gone on the floor because she prefers to be without the diapee, and she has mastered the removal of it as well. I think it is only a matter of time before I am cleaning up poo poo off the floor! Any advice?

Below are some shots for the grandma's, we love you!

Happy Valentines Day!

Hope everyone had a terrific V-day! We had a wonderful day together as a family. Kaisley is becoming quite the little girl, starting to talk a lot and mimicking everything she sees. I love her so much and she keeps me going, we have so much fun together playing with friends, cleaning the house, doing projects together, and hanging out with the best daddy ever! Chris is coming close to spring break...it's hard to believe it is spring break in 2 weeks because the weather is still freezing!! Will it ever get warm? Well, sending you love from the freezing mid-west!

Food Inc....

I just wanted to let everyone out there know that you need to watch this documentary, that is if you haven't already! This will open your eyes...I thought I was maybe a little crazy with not only what I put into Kaisley's body but also my own, this film reconfirms to me that I am on the right track, eating good WHOLE foods, knowing what every ingredient is...and spending good money on your food, it is essential to good health.
We have the power to CHANGE! (everytime you go to the grocery store)
Also go to the the food inc. website and sign the petition
to better change your school lunches...

days to past...enjoy, we sure did!

Camera still broken...

Well, the other day I found Kaisley sucking on the battery to the camera...well now the camera doesn't work. I wish I had it because we had quite the storm last week and the icicles were everywhere! Oh, not to mention last week was probably the coldest week of my entire life!! I think the warmest it got was 0 degrees considering the wind chill and the coldest it got was something like -30 degrees! It pretty much stunk...all I can say is CABIN FEVER! So at least we started off this week well, with a warm 30 degrees and it is gettting warmer everyday, I think that by Sunday it is suppose to be 41 Yahoooo!! Melt snow melt... It is pretty pathetic when you consider 30-40 degrees warm jacket weather...well to more important things, Kaisley is becoming quite the little girl. Chris is so awesome he made another video of her, this time it is a year in review...he made it for her 1st Birthday and just finished it, thanks babe! Better late than never...he's been quite the busy dental student. click on the link ->Here's to Kaisley's First Year!! We love you!

Christmas Break...

We are finally starting to feel like were back into the swing of things here in Omaha...we had a wonderful Christmas break filled with so many fun memories! Looking back now, we had a packed schedule those past two weeks, I think it caught up to Kaisley now that we are home. She hasn't been feeling 100% due to the fact she is trying to get in her bottom baby molars. Kasiley has been taking mega naps for the past few days, I'm talkin' at least two 3 hour naps each day! What would it be like to take 6 hours of naps a day? It nice I have been able to get a lot done...but here are a few photo from our Christmas.

All the Minert grand kids...minus baby Macy and baby Daisey.
Aren't they all so cute in their Christmas PJ's...
Kaisley tearing into her first present...she sort of got the hang of this. She only need one, she wasn't really interested after she opened up one.
She loves baby dolls.
Kaisley loves to pick up heavy objects, I think this was someone elses gift, she just loves to pick them up and transport them.
The Pence's adult only Christmas Party was a hit! We had a wonderful time, and look at all my beautiful sista's and mama! Love you guys...
Brian, need a little sisterly love...so we gave it to him!
Mr. Andy Pence

It's not often all of us sister's get together, it was so much fun dressing up with them and getting some adult time without the crazy kiddos!! Thanks Andy and Mary for the great time.
Why does Christmas come and have to go sooo quickly?????
Okay, I am ready for spring!!!
To bad I live at the North Pole...ever since we've been home it hasn't gotten above freezing, not even close to it I think the warmest it's been is maybe 8 degrees....and right now it is a blizzard outside!!! I will post pictures of all the snow, it is insane!
Let's just say I don't see spring in our future :(

The Aftermath...

Well it was still snowing when we went to bed last night, we woke up this morning and it wasn't snowing! But there was a ton of snow, everyones car was buried...good thing everything shut down, I think it would have taken an hour or so to get your car de-thawed, and unburied. So all we have now are huge mountains of snow to stare at and lots of goodies to eat...
Here is crazy girl, with crazy hair...
she is getting cabin fever, it feels like we haven't been outdoors for awhile...
I don't think she or I would enjoy the snow in 7 degree cold weather, with wind gusts at 35+mph, so with the wind chill who know how freezing cold it is!
Freezing cold snow blowing at your face sounds painful...
These little kiddos, didn't seem to mind for a little while. What is a snow day without playing in it, even if it the snow is buring your face from the icy cold wind.
This is out our front door, I tried to get a picture of the huge drift that is on our front steps, you can kinda see it to the left...
Thank Goodness for Snow Plows!
This is what you get when your stuck inside all day because of a Blizzard...
Lots and lots of yummy TREATS!!!
I LOVE to bake!
This was one of my favorite cookies I made.
Here they are all packaged and ready to be given away!
Peppermint crushed chocolate bark...
Chocolate/Carmel dipped pretzel rods...
This is just half of them!
Homemade Carmels!
Plenty to go around.
Homemade dark chocolate fudge...
Again, plenty to go around.
And finally the finish product...
Don't you wish you were my neighbor...just kidding, I know I went way overboard! But I couldn't stop. I have so much stuff I am looking for people to give stuff too!
To all of you who haven't started or are baking, I wish I could be there to help I don't think I could ever get sick of this! Happy Baking...
