Fall Break...My first Half Marathon!

We had a wonderful fall break! We enjoyed being able to just RELAX and ENJOY all the time we got to spend with Daddy. Breaks are what you live for when your in Dental School...they are very much needed to say the least...next count down is Thanksgiving Break! Yahoo!! Grandpa and Grandma Minert we are so excited for you to come spend Thanksgiving with us :) Anyways, we went to the ever famous Pumpkin Patch here in Omaha...Vala's Pumpkin Patch. Are first time going and I see why everyone says, You have to go there...it was so much fun! They had so many fun activities and little shows...little rabbit town, goats everywhere, even a camel, pig races, duck race, super powerful pumpkin launcher, hay rides, these really fun jumping pillows, pony rides, weird and kinda creepy pumpkin eating dino, and the list goes on...it is like they took fall and wrapped it all up and put it in one fun happy place. Anyways there are a ton of pictures, and I had such a hard time deciding which ones I wanted to post so you got a whole lot...xo

Feeding the goats, Kaisley was a little hesitate...

She though it was pretty funny how the goats would stick their little heads out of the little openings.

This was Bunnyville...she loved watching the bunnys drink the water and hop around.
Watching the Pony Rides

The Great Pumpkin Jump...they looked like huge jumping pillows growing out of the ground.

She LOVES to JUmP!

Chris and Kaisley with the random Camel.

This picture cracks me up, it totally looks like the camel is about to eat Kaisley's head...

Auntie Melissa came with us too! Kaisley loves to hang with Melissa:)

Feeding the donkey...

Watching the Pig races

There's the Pig farmer/house

Kaisley love this little Gingerbread house...Hansel and Gretel display.

She is eating the kettle corn, she couldn't get enough of it.

Okay, so here is the weird creepy dino I was talkin about...the funny thing was, I couldn't get Kaisley to leave this show...

See how big this dino is...

This chair is HUGE!!

And that wraps up our adventures at Vala's!

Grandma Mary sent Kaisley a Halloween package, she had so much fun opening each individually wrapped treat, it took like 20 mins. Thanks, Grandma and Andy! We love you:)

Kansas City Half Marathon!!! Completed...Thanks Azha! Is was so wonderful to train with you!! I am happy it's over but we'll have to do another one before I move...We did it under 2 hours! So we accomplished our goal, Yahoo!!!
Chris found us at mile 3, it was so fun to see them cheering us on!

Right after the race! We did it!
Kaisley just woke up can ya tell...It was the perfect way to end a great break, thanks Chris for cheering me on!

Six years and counting...

Happy Anniversary Babe! It is hard to believe that SIX years ago we were tying the knot...Wow, time flies doesn't it. I can't think of anyone better to spend these last six years with, Chris you are AMAZING! I love everything about you, your such a wonderful husband, friend, and daddy. These last six years are filled with the best moments of my life, I wouldn't change anything. I love knowing that no matter what our future holds we will always be together, thanks for such a SWEET life together...so far...it is and has been a DELIGHT!
I never thought I would be one of those couples who forgets their anniversary but...it almost happened! Key word: "almost" Friday night Chris and I were talking and just randomly Chris shouts..."Tomorrows Our Anniversary!" I couldn't believe it, I really would have forgotten so good job babe! I will never let that almost happen again...lets hope ;)
So much has changed since this photo...

Six years later...this is what we get! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Chris I have to say we can make a pretty dang cute little girl :)

New camera...Kaisley reaches some milestones...

Wow, it has been awhile since I've done a "real" post. Lets see where do I began...First of all our baby girl isn't a baby anymore, she turned 2! That was a wonderful celebration, more on that later, I still need the photos from my friend...she loved her special day let me tell you, she ate up "it's my birthday", phrase every chance she got. I can't believe how quickly time flies...Another big milestone Kaisleys reached....drum roll please...she is POTTY TRAINED!!! She did so GREAT, I think I was preparing for the worst and she definitely surprised me...being my daughter and all tiny bladders don't give you much hope when trying to train a 2 year old to pee in the potty...but luckily she inherited some of her daddy's genes ;) Don't get me wrong we had our moments of struggle last week...especially when daddy left us all alone for a weekend while he went home for a BSU game. Yeah, totally not fair I was super jealous, but Chris had an AMAZING time hangin' out with his brothers/buddies doin' what they love...football football football...need I say more. I never new how wonderful it would feel to have potty training behind you, it's great and I also never new how excited one could get over a little poo and pee! Good Job Kaisley, you ROCK my world! (or should I say RULE my world)

Below, Kaisley found a snail on the sidewalk, she was fascinated by this little fellow.
Love...love those eyes, this is who I get to hang out with everyday!

Look at how cute she is on the potty :)

Saying CHEESE! can ya tell..

Summer in Review...

just a tiny bit of our summer(i wish i had more pictures)...I know it is way past due for a post! But in my defense all we have is the camera on our iphone, so quality and quantity are lacking. Anyways, we had a terrific summer vacation packed full of family and friends! Kaisley enjoyed getting to know all her fun cousins and of course being spoiled by the grandparents...Our long 17 hour journey home and back went flawless, besides only a few screaming moments from little gal...and if you can believe it we went straight from Boise to Omaha in one day! That was crazy but let me tell ya not as bad as I thought, Kaisley did awesome sleeping a lot of the way so we went for it and all I can say is that the thought of sleeping in my own bed was great motivation for the long car ride. Anyways, we're back into the swing of things and lovin our little life here in the mid-west. It makes me sad to say that summer is over but the crisp fresh autumn air is lovely for a bit of a change...below are some random photos that I thought were blog worthy.

Our little Super hero! She put this together all by herself...so funny

Enjoying the outdoor brick oven at Brandon and Mallorys...all I can say is AMAZING pizza, definitely having one of these in my backyard some day!
A early birthday celebration for Kaisley, she was loving all the attention that is for sure.

Thats all for now, I am getting my new camera soon so I promise to be better at the updates! xo

She has know idea how much fun she is in for:) Well I'll see you all soon and wish us LUck...were gonna need it. I'm sure will have some funny stories/video to share about our adventure across the West/Mid-west...

My neighbor is so kind to first of all let her always come over and play but also doing her hair so pretty! Thanks, Erica:) The last time I went to pick her up she had double french braids, sooo cute, I wish she would let me do that....wait first I better learn how to french braid.

It's been a while...

If only I had a camera, I swear I would update you all more often! But unfortunately I still have a lost/stolen camera and who knows when well find some extra cash for a new one...loan money where are you??? it's been a while since the last check:) At least we still have the flip! So here are a few videos for you all to enjoy...The weather here is pretty dang HOT and HUMID! This does not stop our little cRaZy GirL from enjoy every ounce of play time outside...she would be outside from sun up until sun down if I let her. Anytime she sees a kid outside she HAS to go out, she is so demanding let me tell you. But we LOVE her guts and it's a good thing she has a mama that loves the Summer HeAt! We are already preparing ourselves for the long 17+ hour car ride to Boise! Here we come...I am gonna bet ya you'll be able to hear us coming...(Kaisley is a screamer still...) This is definitely going to be an adventure...the Minert's first official RoAd TrIp in the tiny Jetta with a crazy almost two year old girlie whew...this is gonna get interesting! I have got to figure out the best way to document our journey. P.s This is the longest road trip I have ever been on...I think we should take a poll on how many times I'll have to stop to peeee! Sorry Chris...ahead of time. We Can't wait to see you in a MONTH! Whooohooo!

Last weekend was wonderful...

Only a week late...Chris's parents came out for Christopher's White Coat Ceremony, marking his half way point in Dental School and also the beginning of his clinical experience! Way to go babe, we are getting closer...I am so proud of you and your accomplishments, keep up the good work! I can't believe how fast time goes, today I was thinking as a lot of the graduates have moved on, this time of our lives is really special and I am truly going to ENJOY and CHERISH every moment. We have already made amazing friendships and I love our life here in the middle of America, it is rich with so many wonderful people!
Thanks Dave and Fay for a wonderful stay it was so lovely to have you two to ourselves :) Kaisley especially loved having grandparents to play with. She is wondering when your coming back ;) Can't wait for summer vacation! (after Chris is done with boards) We are going to live it up! (especially chris)
