What are the odds of this...

So let me tell you how we ran into the picture below. Sorry this one is long...About a week ago Chris and I were at our local Hyvee grocery store in Council Bluffs Iowa and I was busy picking out a few items when Chris said, " Summer you have to come see this picture, it looks just like Mary!" I was thinking "really? let me see for myself...so I went over to see what he was looking at and as soon as I saw the picture I was like, "That is MARY!", that has to be it looks just like her like 20 years younger...So I had Chris take a picture of it so I could email it to Mary to show her that either I found her twin, or that someone was seceretly taking pictures of her when she was ten at the grocery store...so I called Mary and told her what happen and she was like,"That is me, I remember taking that picture at Albertson!". Crazy, so I kept thinking I have got to go back and take (so I did, I hope I don't get in trouble for steal a 8x10 poster from the produce section) this picture to give to Mary so she can show her kids someday how "famous", she was when she was ten and that the photo was so great that 20 years later she is the poster child for the National Cancer Institute...I think she should put this up on her refrigerator to remind her children to "Eat at least 5 servings of fruits & vegetables everyday!" What are the odds...now everytime I go to the store I am looking for more pictures of my big sister 20 years younger, I'll fill you in if i run into anymore random photos of my family...
Mary, I never knew you were a 10 year old super Model!

Kaisley and Mia...

We had a wonderful time in NOLA (aka...New Orleans, Louisiana) it was so great to see Grandma Fay and Grandpa Dave, thank you...thank you...thank you...we loved every minute of our stay. I couldn't believe all the beautiful architecture I loved all the variety of homes...lovely is all I can say. I unfortunately don't have any pictures to show all of you...I lost or someone stole my camera :( So thats for the delay of new posts. The bummer was that it was toward the end of our trip so I had already take a lot of pictures...so here are some random photos from a few weeks ago of Kaisley and her buddy Mia, they are so cute together...and both have crazy hair! Oh yeah, Kaisley got her first haircut! I will post soon about that...she is a big girl now it is so crazy how a little haircut can change your baby into a toddler! I thought that is was time for the mullet to go and I am sure Kaisley will ask me someday, "why didn't you do it sooner...mom, you actually let me go out in public with that!" So she has a cute little bob for a hairdo now, super cute...thanks, Erica for doing such a good job and quick! Chris is almost finished with his sophmore year! Yahooo...finals this week and next then we are offically Juniors...I told Chris last night this is the last time he will ever have the title as underclass men. Well life is trucking on by, the spring is so BEAUtiful here is the Mid-west...it is consistent with 70 degree and even sometimes 80 degrees! We are enjoying the sun to it's fullest, Kaisley is out from sun up to sun down.

The weather was beautiful and the events were so much fun. We enjoyed an Easter Brunch with some of our good friends, and then later after conference we got together with the wonderful Walker fam Auntie Melissa for Easter Dinner....yummmmmy is all I can say! A much needed update!

Life here in Omaha is starting to look a little brighter! More sunny nice days, Kaisley can't get enough of playing outdoors...it is never long enough, EVER! I am so happy that I can officially say we've made it through our first winter in the mid-west! I was beginning to wonder if it was ever going to end...life is much better when you can enjoy some vitamin D from the wonderful sun! In fact the weather this week is suppose to be in the 70's and 80's!!!! I can't believe this, I had to take a double and then a triple take when I saw this weeks forecast. We are going to be living outdoors, Kaisley is going to be in Heaven! So Kaisley is quite the little girl these days, she loves getting new clothes, this weekend I bought her a few new shirts and a skirt and she wanted to try them on and was so proud of her new items it was so cute! She is saying more words, like mama, dadda, daddeee, apple, up, down, cat, doggy, roars like a lion, a lot of ahhh-ah-ah's...and la-la-la's. Kaisley's loves to watch bugs crawl, she gets sooo excited but as soon as they get too close she freaks out, it's so funny I never taught her this it is just in her...girly girl I guess? She is very friendly she waves hello to everyone, and she has a really good wave almost like she is in a parade kinda wave...everyone loves it that's probably the only fun thing about taking her to the store. Kaisley is really good at begging and it is really driving Chris and I a little batty...hopefully she just grows out of this phase....and fast! Her hair is still a flamin mullet...yes, I know what am I thinking but I just want the sides to grow a little longer and then I am going to cut it until then pig tails are what she's sportin'. I must say in the pictures below she just has her hair down and I think it is kinda looking okay down, as long as I have a clip to hold back her front hair. Kaisley is a spinning machine, she loves to get dizzy and she will do it over and over again. She loves to jump off anything, she is pretty daring I must say...oh, and lately she thinks she can walk up and down the stairs and insists on doing so, she isn't quite tall enough so I always have to hold her hand so going up the stairs takes us a little time...the whole independent thing is already begun, she has to feed herself now, she already has an opinion on what she wears, especially her shoes....shoes loves them, I mean it she is crazy about them! Thanks grandma Fay for the cute shoes, when she first got them as soon as she woke up in the morning she would grab the shoes and want them on. Also she shows everyone her shoes by lifting her leg and pointing her toes, so cute! Sorry for the book but I need to document so I don't forget all the things...Oh yeah, I think I may have a problem, she loves gum! Yes, I know this is no good but I must say she really does chew it, it looks so funny. (it does last but maybe 10 minutes) Kaisley is so much fun I am so lucky to get to spend everyday with her and I can't wait to see what fun things she learns next month, I promise I will do better updating....xo
waiting to go outside....

Loves sunglasses! I think she needs a pair of her own, these are my second pair...
Well definately be using these this week!

Oh, oh the things Kaisley does....

First thing...an explanation for the photo below. Last week Kaisley and I were out for our daily walk in the frigid air, and just as we were about to go back around to the other side of our house Kaisley books it to the parking lot...so I try my hardest to be quite while chasing her, because I don't know about you other mothers, but does it seem that when you began the chase they go faster and get a little more crazy with their footing? Anyways, the quiet thing didn't quite work the way I wanted because Kaisley started doing her crazy run and up in the air and then face plant on the ground, into the wet, dirty, muddy, freezing, asphalt! Me being the (wonderful) mother I am said a few choice words and then to make me look like even a better mother I picked her up and took one look at her and started to laugh. Yep, I know I am so insensitive but the look on her face was priceless so I had to take a photo...not sure if she really appreciated that, not only the laughing but a photo afterwords...come on mom! Just to let you know she was fine, just a few tiny scratches on her face.
Now this brings me to my title...Kaisley has been putting things in her ears lately? Should I be concerned...now I am just waiting for her to start putting things in other places like her nose...luckily I have caught her doing this every time and it hasn't been anything to small...until the nail, but even then I don't think it could have gotten too stuck. Is this normal?
and here is the nail in her ear! What is up with this?
Another thing is...Kaisley poops more than she pees!! Like 5 or 6 times a day!
She is seriously a pooing machine!

It is getting really really old...
I can't believe she hasn't gone on the floor because she prefers to be without the diapee, and she has mastered the removal of it as well. I think it is only a matter of time before I am cleaning up poo poo off the floor! Any advice?

Below are some shots for the grandma's, we love you!
xoxo
Crazy girl, crazy hair!

Happy Valentines Day!

Hope everyone had a terrific V-day! We had a wonderful day together as a family. Kaisley is becoming quite the little girl, starting to talk a lot and mimicking everything she sees. I love her so much and she keeps me going, we have so much fun together playing with friends, cleaning the house, doing projects together, and hanging out with the best daddy ever! Chris is coming close to spring break...it's hard to believe it is spring break in 2 weeks because the weather is still freezing!! Will it ever get warm? Well, sending you love from the freezing mid-west!
