The Aftermath...

Well it was still snowing when we went to bed last night, we woke up this morning and it wasn't snowing! But there was a ton of snow, everyones car was buried...good thing everything shut down, I think it would have taken an hour or so to get your car de-thawed, and unburied. So all we have now are huge mountains of snow to stare at and lots of goodies to eat...
Here is crazy girl, with crazy hair...
she is getting cabin fever, it feels like we haven't been outdoors for awhile...
I don't think she or I would enjoy the snow in 7 degree cold weather, with wind gusts at 35+mph, so with the wind chill who know how freezing cold it is!
Freezing cold snow blowing at your face sounds painful...
These little kiddos, didn't seem to mind for a little while. What is a snow day without playing in it, even if it the snow is buring your face from the icy cold wind.
This is out our front door, I tried to get a picture of the huge drift that is on our front steps, you can kinda see it to the left...
Thank Goodness for Snow Plows!
This is what you get when your stuck inside all day because of a Blizzard...
Lots and lots of yummy TREATS!!!
I LOVE to bake!
This was one of my favorite cookies I made.
Here they are all packaged and ready to be given away!
Peppermint crushed chocolate bark...
Chocolate/Carmel dipped pretzel rods...
This is just half of them!
Homemade Carmels!
Plenty to go around.
Homemade dark chocolate fudge...
Again, plenty to go around.
And finally the finish product...
Don't you wish you were my neighbor...just kidding, I know I went way overboard! But I couldn't stop. I have so much stuff I am looking for people to give stuff too!
To all of you who haven't started or are baking, I wish I could be there to help I don't think I could ever get sick of this! Happy Baking...

Snow..snow...and more snow!

Okay here are some photos from the wintery wonderland...It has been snowing since 1 am this morning and it is still snow and it is 8pm this evening! It is amazing, and all schools are closed, even University's, Chris is in finals week and they cancelled all classes! Crazy weather here, and it isn't expected to stop snowing until noon tomorrow! I think we have a foot of snow or more, oh and it is maybe a wopping 7 degrees outside, I will fill you in tomorrow on all the fun baking my amazing friend Elena and I did, so stay tuned!
Elena braving the weather to come over and bake up a storm...

Below, this guy did this all day long, and if you were to look outside right now you would have never known.

This is about 15 minutes ago...

Thanksgiving Week...

We had an AMAZING Thanksgiving thanks to our wonderful friends here in Omaha and lots of yummy food! It was so nice to have Chris home for a few days without school to worry about...if only it could last longer. But before we know it we'll be on our way home for the Christmas Season! We can't wait. Thanksgiving is probably my favorite holiday, it is everything I want in a holiday, family, friends, yummy food, giving thanks for all we have been blessed with, and then the excitment of Christmas to top it off! There is so much I have to be grateful for, my sweet baby girl, my amazing hardworking handsome husband, a warm cozy home, food, all my wonderful friends who help me feel like I have family away from home, all my wonderful family members, I Love you all!

This was our Thanksgiving day!
Our set table for the big dinner.
Here is a closer look...

All our wonderful friends!

Starting from the left: Jordan, with his amazing pumpkin pie (probably the best pumpkin pie I have ever eaten!) his sweet wife Elena with her wonderful Apple pie, Randy with his delightful Pecan pie, and my husband even got in on the baking train and made a very yummy chocolate cream pie! It was really really awesome, great job babe!

A visit with SANTA!!!!
Kaisley's first visit to Santa was so much fun! We went to the Bass Pro Shop which is just like a Cabella's and they have an amazing set up. This is definately going to be a family tradition while we are here, it was so great they had all these wonderful activities for the kids to do while they waited for santa, it put all the mall Santa's to shame. And to top it off they have a little fudge/goodie shop where they sell all these yummy treats like, chocolate covered pretzels, homemade fudge, roasted nuts, popcorn, were just a few treats on the list. It was seriously so much fun, Kaisley will love it even more when she is a little bit older...She wasn't even hesitant to get on Santa's lap. She was so happy!

Isn't it so cute, can you see the reindeer in the background?

Here comes Santa Clause...

It was so cute he stopped and said hello to Kaisley, before he took his seat in his chair.
Trimming the Tree...
After seeing Santa we came home and decorated our tree! Kaisley loves it, it is so nice to have a tree on the table because I don't have to worry about her pulling off the glass ornaments, but yet she can still enjoy it. She loves all the lights!

Our first family Christmas tree! Isn't it so cute.

New Moon....Loved it!!!

It was such a blast last night me and a bunch of fun girls went to the movie New Moon! It was spectacular...let me just tell ya. The entire night was so much fun, no kids, lots of chatting, Edward, JACOB (can I just tell you he is a HOTTY!), and so many wonderful ladies! I wish I brought my camera for the big night, what was I thinking? Well I totally am a dork I know, but it is fun to have something that brings you back to teenage years...or should I say a fantasy love land! Well if your a fan, and you haven't seen the movie yet your missing out! I think I need to read the books again, it's been so long I need a little escape into fantasy love land again...I know some of you are thinking either I know exactly what you mean or you are a crazy Twilight freak! Oh, and this is for you MARY...IT"S ABOUT TIME YOU READ THE BOOKS!!! I promise you will love them! I wish I was you...reading the books for the first time, those three weeks of reading the books straight was so much fun! Chris officially thinks I'm a crazy, but I know he has secretly read all the books and is dying to watch the movie...

Enjoying the last of the Beautiful weather...

Well the past two weeks the weather has been spectacular! It's nice to have a mild November, because we all know were in for a very long cold and dreary winter...we have tried to take advantage of every moment we can while we still can play outside! Below are some fun pictures from a Sunday walk/play in the park...Kaisley loves to play outside, what kid doesn't...

We were playing peek a boo on the swings, one of her favorite games.
Daddy and Kaisley getting some swinging time...this next picture is the best!

She was laughing so hard, it was so cute!
I can't believe Thanksgiving is in a week. Crazy how quickly time flies by...we are hosting our first Thanksgiving, I can't wait it is going to be wonderful, I can't wait to cook all the yummy food and get my house in tip top shape, I have some fun ideas to make this a special dinner...I will get some pictures to show you all, maybe some of you will consider Thanksgiving at the Minerts house next year...xoxox

We had a spectacular Halloween Week! The reason I say week is because it seemed as though we had something going on everyday...which was so much fun. It's nice to feel like you wore out their costume! Beware there are a TON of pictures, it was so hard to choose...so here is our Halloween photo album...ENJOY!

Our sweet snuggly PIG.....isn't she the cutest pig you've ever seen!

Here we were getting her ready to go see daddy at school...it is a wonderful tradition that Creighton does, they have all the Dental students kids parade through the school and they trick or treat to all the secretaries, dental assistants, and hygenists, and then we get to eat lunch with daddy afterwords it was a Blast! Kaisley had a trial run before the big Halloween Night...
Hangin out with daddy at school...
Getting some candy from one of the sweet ladies...

Kaisley walked up and down the hallways...you thought she owned the place.

Kaisley and I going through the dental school...

Okay she had this sucker in her mouth the entire time...and she would not let me take it out for nothin...I kept telling myself at least it has the wrapper on it...then I look down at her and there is cherry smelling drool coming down her face and on her bow...that was the end of that let's just say she through a crazy fit...it was lovely
