Crazy Omaha squirrels...and Kaisley's Daddy turn 28!

Okay, I don't know what is with the squirrels here...but they are CRaaZy!!!! So a few days ago I look out my screen door and I see that the squirrel has eaten his way through our pumpkin...and was literally inside it! I didn't dare go out there to shoo it away, these squirrels aren't afraid, it would probably attack me or come inside, yes come inside these things are domesticated I'm telling ya...so I just let the little sucker indulge in this pumpkin all day long and then I woke up this morning and no pumpkin...the crazy critter moved the pumpkin down the steps and down the side walk about 20 feet away! I couldn't believe it he and his critter friends were probably trying to harvest the entire thing for winter? Well that isn't the only squirrel story for ya, this next story...oh how I wish I had a picture! Well yesterday was a beautiful Fall day so I was allowing the wonderful Fall breeze in by leaving the door open with the screen door shut...I was down stairs doing some laundry when I heard a loud scratching noise coming from the kitchen...I quickly ran up the stairs to find yes a squirrel...this isn't your everyday squirrel it is a BLACK squirrel...(I promise I am not racisit) it was sprawled out on the screen door looking right at me and the proceeding to do a freaky little scant! I slammed the sliding glass door shut and the stupid thing flew off! I swear the stupid thing was trying to find it's way in...by the way we have black squirrels...Chris researched it and said that this is one of the only places they exist...hey, there is another reason why you all should come visit:) Anyways...hope your all getting ready for the big night....Happy Halloween!! Can't wait to see all the kiddos in their Halloween best!

Shout out to the love of my life...Chris turned the BIG 28 last Thursday! I love you. Babe you are the Best! Kaisley and I met Dad for lunch and then we had a little oreo icecream cake that evening...I made Chris his very own cake he didn't want to share with anyone...except Kaisley suckered her way into a bite or two (she didn't really have to do much but look at her daddy with those big blue eyes...)
Kaisley loves her new stroller Grandma Fay and Grandpa Dave got her...her little friends like it too! Probably since it is like one of the only toys she has...when kids come over their like, "Where are all of Kaisley's toys?" So I show them to her closet with the only basket of toys...and they ask again...Where are all of Kaisley's toys....I guess they will figure out ways to play with what she's got, hence the picture below...although she does have a few dolls, not quite sure why Kaisley's the baby...gotta love the kiddos!

We had a terrific weekend with Chris's parents! It was nice to have family in town again, it's a lot of fun because Chris gets a break from studying too! Although it's hard when they have to go, it makes you want to go home with them...but we did a lot of fun activities while they were here, including a trip to the zoo. The picture below is of Kaisley waiting for her grandparents to come...I thought this was a good picture of her hair. It is getting longer :)

Us in the Jungle!
This picture didn't turn out the best, they were on a bridge and Chris was on the other side of the waterfall taking the picture...

Thank you Dave and Fay for the wonderful weekend!
Hope you all had a great weekend too.

Kaisley is a walker

Kaisley has been taking steps here and there for about a month....but I wasn't ready to say she was offically walking, but now well...lets just say she is on the loose, nothing can stop this little munchkin! Chris thinks she looks like a monkey when she walks because she puts her arms up above her head and waddles. It is so cute, well this video was of her about 2 weeks ago and so it is a little shaky, I need to video her now that she is a little more stable. Oh yeah...HORRAY I can finally post videos!! Lots of love! xoxoxo

Fall Break....in the Bahamas!!!

Fall break is a wonderful thing... especially for crazy stressed, brain drained dental students! Chris and I went on a very spontaneous (much needed;) trip to the Bahamas this last week with some of our best friends out here!! It was my first time away from Kaisley which made it some what difficult but I knew she was in good hands back at home....Grandma June came to take care of our babe, THANK YOU Grandma!!! We LOVE you soooo MUCH! Here is just a sneak peak of our trip...I am already wishing I was back in the 90+ sunny weather...instead I'm back here in the dreary cold of Omaha Nebraska...I think the high is 43 degrees!! Lets just say it pretty much stinks...I'm stuck asking myself why did we chose to go to school here???

Can I just tell you, this picture doesn't even compare to the real thing...
Chris really needed some down time! It was soo nice to have my husband back!!
I will give you all a slide show of the crazy fun we had later :)

An Update!

Well these past two weeks have been a little crazy, Chris has had a marathon of tests...midterms is so much fun....not really but we are so proud of Chris he is so close to being finished with this round of tests...Fall break will be here soon! Yippee!!! Kaisley and I have been keeping ourselves busy by playing outside in this beautiful Fall weather, going on walks, playing with friends, doing a projects here and there...., going to music class, and the list does go on....this is what we have to do STAY BUSY!! Otherwise you start to realize how little you do get to see your husband and then you start feeling sorry for yourself, but luckily pretty much everyone I live around are feeling the same way so that is a blessing!! We can all relate :) So Halloween is coming up and let me tell ya I am getting ready for my annual Halloween Party! So if any of you back in Boise would like to come, you know we do have a guest bedroom...r.s.v.p!!! I wish...So I promise I will be posting pictures of our house soon, you know me I am a little o.c.d...so I have just a few more projects and then I will give you a peek into our little Abode...oh, and I have tons of projects that I have done for the house, if your lucky I will share them with you all ;) Well hope everyone is well, Kaisley is becoming quite the "little girl", she is really close to walking...taking steps here and there, but is still really cautious. It seems like everyday she gets a little braver and a little more confident in her steps...we are in no rush to get her going as she is already into everything as it is! Well here are a few shot of our little muffin!
She loves to hang out on our bed!!

And in baskets...it was so cute she pulled this basket off the shelf, threw everything out of it and sat right down, she was getting in and out, in and out for about 20 minutes I swear...she loves to empty out stuff like baskets and boxes so she can climb in. The basket of toys in her room is mainly there so she can do this...most of the time her toys are for this purpose, I'm sure all you mamas out there can relate.
