Thanksgiving Visitors!

We were lucky enough to have Grandpa Dave and Grandma Fay come for a visit! It was so nice to have some family visit, Kaisley especially loved all the attention and love from "Papa", and Grandma...It was so wonderful Chris and I got an entire night to ourselves, Kaisley had a sleep over with papa and grandma and was in HEAVEN!! Thanksgiving was filled with lots of fun, first we had a yummy breakfast and then went swimming at the Hotel, Kaisley was still a little hesitant with the whole swimming thing but warmed up once Papa got in. It's so funny Kaisley will not call say Grandpa, it's always PAPA! Anyways, later we went to the movie Tangled in 3D but Kaisley of course refused the glasses but she didn't seem to mind the blurriness...she always is talking about Tangled! After the movie we had someone else cook Thanksgiving dinner for us and went to a nice dinner on the Missouri River, it was nice and relaxing...Although there is nothing like a homemade Thanksgivin' Dinner. The long weekend was just what we needed...now Chris is back at it in school, finals...finals...and more finals. Kaisley and I are checkin out of this place early! See you all in less than 2 weeks...YAHOOOO! Can't wait to see everyone and enjoy all the Christmas festivities! xoxo Thank you Grandpa and Grandma Minert you are the BEST!! Kaisley asks about you everyday since you left...see ya soon!

At the lighting of Downtown Omaha...we were freezing good thing we were there for only a few minutes...

Okay, this picture cracked me up...the weird smile thing is definitely from the Minert side...
my sister in-laws know what I mean ;)

Sliding down the big slides...Kaisley loved it, too bad it was so cold.

The Beautiful Poinsettia Tree at the Botanical Gardens!

It was so pretty in the indoor display, Kaisley especially loved the cranberries in the water, don't they look so pretty...

Halloween...WEEK!

I am amazed at how many activity one can do the week of Halloween...it starts to get a little crazy I can't tell you where the week went! We had a wonderful time though and Kaisley is still coming off of her sugar high...Here are some photos of all the festivities!
P.s. Watch out for the black cat she will attack...her looks will fool you ;)
The Beginning of all the Halloween Madness...
Music Class Party, all the kids are so cute dressed up!

Kaisley with Mia (the witch), Nahoa (Batman), Cambrie (the pretty purple princess), Hunter (the lion)...

Halloween Parade at Daddy's School...

Trick or Treating at the Dental school...Kaisley definitely caught on this year

Kaisley wasn't so sure about one of Chris's professors dressed up as Yoda...I think that's his name? Sorry I don't know my star wars characters.

Halloween Night, A witch and her Little Black Cat!

Kaisley trick or treating...Chris took her while I passed out candy, he said that every time there was a sucker she would make sure and get it...this girl has a thing for suckers, as you can tell in the pictures below.
Kaisley didn't trick or treat for very long...we did not need anymore sugar, but she loved helping me pass it out.
She loves her suckers!
Yes, that is 2 full sized tootsie pops in her mouth...I know I let her go a little crazy, but it was only for one day, it vanish the second she went to bed. ;)
And here is "Minert Manor" all spooktified...is this a word? Any who, I think I enjoy Halloween a little too much, I mean who changes up their entire decor for the occasion...ME!
Hope you all had a great Halloween!

Fall Break...My first Half Marathon!

We had a wonderful fall break! We enjoyed being able to just RELAX and ENJOY all the time we got to spend with Daddy. Breaks are what you live for when your in Dental School...they are very much needed to say the least...next count down is Thanksgiving Break! Yahoo!! Grandpa and Grandma Minert we are so excited for you to come spend Thanksgiving with us :) Anyways, we went to the ever famous Pumpkin Patch here in Omaha...Vala's Pumpkin Patch. Are first time going and I see why everyone says, You have to go there...it was so much fun! They had so many fun activities and little shows...little rabbit town, goats everywhere, even a camel, pig races, duck race, super powerful pumpkin launcher, hay rides, these really fun jumping pillows, pony rides, weird and kinda creepy pumpkin eating dino, and the list goes on...it is like they took fall and wrapped it all up and put it in one fun happy place. Anyways there are a ton of pictures, and I had such a hard time deciding which ones I wanted to post so you got a whole lot...xo

Feeding the goats, Kaisley was a little hesitate...

She though it was pretty funny how the goats would stick their little heads out of the little openings.

This was Bunnyville...she loved watching the bunnys drink the water and hop around.
Watching the Pony Rides

The Great Pumpkin Jump...they looked like huge jumping pillows growing out of the ground.

She LOVES to JUmP!

Chris and Kaisley with the random Camel.

This picture cracks me up, it totally looks like the camel is about to eat Kaisley's head...

Auntie Melissa came with us too! Kaisley loves to hang with Melissa:)

Feeding the donkey...

Watching the Pig races

There's the Pig farmer/house

Kaisley love this little Gingerbread house...Hansel and Gretel display.

She is eating the kettle corn, she couldn't get enough of it.

Okay, so here is the weird creepy dino I was talkin about...the funny thing was, I couldn't get Kaisley to leave this show...

See how big this dino is...

This chair is HUGE!!

And that wraps up our adventures at Vala's!

Grandma Mary sent Kaisley a Halloween package, she had so much fun opening each individually wrapped treat, it took like 20 mins. Thanks, Grandma and Andy! We love you:)

Kansas City Half Marathon!!! Completed...Thanks Azha! Is was so wonderful to train with you!! I am happy it's over but we'll have to do another one before I move...We did it under 2 hours! So we accomplished our goal, Yahoo!!!
Chris found us at mile 3, it was so fun to see them cheering us on!

Right after the race! We did it!
Kaisley just woke up can ya tell...It was the perfect way to end a great break, thanks Chris for cheering me on!

Happy Anniversary Babe! It is hard to believe that SIX years ago we were tying the knot...Wow, time flies doesn't it. I can't think of anyone better to spend these last six years with, Chris you are AMAZING! I love everything about you, your such a wonderful husband, friend, and daddy. These last six years are filled with the best moments of my life, I wouldn't change anything. I never thought I would be one of those couples who forgets their anniversary but...it almost happened! Key word: "almost" Friday night Chris and I were talking and just randomly Chris shouts..."Tomorrows Our Anniversary!" I couldn't believe it, I really would have forgotten so good job babe! I will never let that almost happen again...lets hope ;)
